Q. What kind of woods do you work with?

A. We work with hardwoods and some select softwoods. We can also add custom powder coated metal elements and epoxy finishes as well as vinyls, acrylics, and coloured lacquers on items like mdf cabinetry. For more information refer to our lumber selection page.

Design Process

Q. What is the process for designing and making my furniture? How long does it take?

A. The whole process begins with an enquiry through our contact page.

• Once you contact us, we will discuss your requirements and create a rendering based on your explanation of needs.
• This can be edited as many times as you wish until we settle upon a final design.
• You will be advised as we begin working on your project, and about a week later you will receive a follow up message to set up a time to pick colour through our in-shop selection.
• This is also the final review stage and will be the time during which you can see your finalized project.

Q. What if I change my design plan after construction starts?

A. We are definitely willing to accommodate! Custom furniture is custom and done to your liking, and the only thing that cannot be guaranteed is that the price will remain the same. Upon editing the design a new quote and rendering will be formulated to meet your requests.

Q. Can you build something based on a picture?

A. Absolutely! Re-creating furniture from your favourite images is our specialty. Furthermore, you can rest assured that your custom piece is made to the highest standards of quality, using only select materials, which are generally of a higher quality than is offered in retail stores.

Q. Do you offer colour matching?

A. Yes, through industrial coating specialists we can guarantee a perfect colour match on any item that you would like. We can also offer any sheen level ranging from matte to gloss and anything in between.

Warranty

We offer a 2-year warranty. This covers any mistakes made on our end including faulty stain or large checking in the wood etc. Blemishes created by using the products outside of intended use will not be covered under the warranty, however we can repair and refinish the products for a fee. The majority of our products are solid stock and can be refinished well.

Payment

After the design is finalized, we require a 50% deposit before beginning work. The balance of payment is due after the project is finished and before shipping. We accept cash, credit and e-transfer.

Returns

The deposit covers the cost of lumber and, as such, is non-refundable. Custom furniture is final sale however we will do our best to make a product that exceeds your expectations.

Delivery / Pick-Up

Q. Do you offer delivery?

A. As our prime service area covers Calgary and surrounding locations, we offer delivery to this area for $300 + taxes through professional bonded and insured movers. For shipping to locations outside the general Calgary area, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q. Can I pick my furniture up from you?

A. Yes we offer the option of personal pick up at our shop. Of course, we are not liable for damage in transport with self pick up.
